Why are flower essential at Wedding?
-
1) Take into account the time of year
Getting married in winter or autumn is not the same as in spring or summer. Each season offers different flowers, and one or the other is more suitable depending on the weather to look perfect and last a long time. For example, in autumn, chrysanthemums, dalias, callas, asters (known as “star flowers“), or heather are elegant shrubs that add color to the environment. In summer, however, you need flowers that can withstand high temperatures and look fresh and beautiful throughout the day. -
2) Adapt the choice to the type of celebration
The ceremony’s decoration, like Anniversaries, marks what the rest of the event will be like. But depending on your celebration type, the decoration may vary. For religious weddings, like Congrats, more classic flowers are chosen. The architectural style of the temple can condition the style. In Romanesque churches, flowers with rounded shapes are perfect, sweeter, and more romantic, adding elegance. An example of this is roses or hydrangeas.
In Gothic churches, most elongated flower arrangements are perfect. Spiky flowers such as gladioli or tuberose will set the pace for the rest of the decoration. Flowers such as lilies or gerberas can be combined with the previous ones.
In modernist churches, the arrangements can be more linear and L-shaped. The most suitable flowers, on this occasion, are the allium, anthurium, liatrix, and large green leaves. -
3) Look at the venue
Another factor to consider when choosing the flowers for your wedding is the place where the ceremony and the banquet will be held. An outdoor wedding in a natural space is not the same as a closed hotel or restaurant in the middle of the city. If you are going to get married in an open space, you can decorate it with flowers and wild plants or choose those that combine best with the color of the walls or the trees that grow in the area. If you get married in a closed place, you should observe what type of decoration it offers and what colors can go with the room. - To create harmony between all the elements, choosing a dominant flower that stands out from the rest and two or three additional flowers from the same range is preferable.
